In its first year…
- Successfully trained over 145 Blue Water Response Team members statewide
- Participated in numerous community & school events
- Educated over 5,000 members of the public on water quality and it’s importance
- Given those people a proactive & easy way that they can get directly involved!
- Formed many great partnerships with businesses and other environmental non-profits
- Formed working relationships with various federal, state and county agencies
- Responded to and handled over 100 environmental concerns and complaints through the Blue Water Hotline
